Iam happy to announce that a new group in Lawrence Kansas is actively planning a big event. While this group is not specifically oriented towards children programs or services, their first event is worth noting for all women. My demographics indicate that most people visiting this site are women. The group’s firs main event is a fund raiser that will benefit

If like most parents in Lawrence you found that you are running out of space in the kids closets, with all the new school clothes, then it’s time to clean out stuff.
chances are your children have outgrown their summer clothes, they will probably not wear them again next year, it’s time to sort, store and swap!
Swap: Some outgrown clothes may be perfect for another family who has children in another age group, you might arrange a swap meet where people just bring in what they wish to exchange and everyone win.
Give away: many people in this economy are hurting and some kids will have to do without new clothes this year. If you are fortunate enough to afford new clothes, without hardship, think about those who could use them. Contact the Salvation Army, Good will or even a local church. They will be grateful for your donation, and you will earn some Karma points. We all need a little good karma.
Sell: some of you just cannot afford to swap or give away. Life is challenging many people today, and there is nothing wrong with a good old fashion yard sale. They are a lot of work but it can also be fun.
If you are having a yard sale in the Lawrence area, there is a new venue to publicize your event. Lawrence Voices is a business directory for the community, and it offer FREE classified in the Lawrence community to anyone who is selling anything.
This site support the community in many ways, but mostly it gives you plenty of space to list your items and it will even display a map to your event. There are many categories to choose from and the obvious one for a yard sale is Yard Sales, but if you have a lot of children items, then you could list them in a special children market category, that will allow people to find easily what they need.
