While it is still pretty cold in Kansas and that you are looking for a special Saturday activity to do with the kids, you are not limited to Lawrence. Now and until February 20th, they are presenting “Our Town”, a play by publitzer prize winner Thornton Wilder, and directed by Jeff Church. The Coterie Theatre located on Level One of The Crown Center Shops is a professional Equity theatre, and according to TIME magazine it features among the top five theatres serving families and young audiences in the United States. It was also listed in Travel & Leisure magazine’s top ten list of children’s theatres, T & L described the Coterie as “a theatre that resolutely refuses to talk down to its audience.”
To better enjoy the play with children a resource guide is available for educators and for parent educators. To read more about the play visit the Coterie
But the best of all is that Target offers a two for one ticket for a Saturday Matinee. Only one ticket per family or group per day.
