About
This blog about Lawrence kids is published and maintained by Mireille Green. I made Lawrence my home a few years ago and while I am not a “native” of the area I like living here. I think that it does offer much and I will soon start another blog about Lawrence itself and all it has to offer for all not only for kids.
For now I want to concentrate on what Lawrence has to offer to its children and there so is much to talk about.
I love designing websites and while using Wordpress for a blog, as I do here, is not the panacea of design, it offers a quick and easy platform to get a blog running pretty quickly.
Besides liking my Mac and web design I am a grand-mother and I have learned a few things about kids in my years. I am now still raising a child, a wonderful little girl who keeps me not only busy but fresh on the new ideas that can challenge kids and parents in our society. I will do my best to incorporate some of this in this blog.
I find myself frequently looking for the websites of activities that my grand-child is involved or interested in and since time is not limitless I found myself often frustrated just spending so much time looking for things so I decided to create this blog, Lawrencechildren.com as a portal for the activities involving all children here in Lawrence.
At Lawrencechildren.com parents will find a list of useful organisations in Lawrence, KS, a calendar of events that are kids related and articles about children related topics. If you would like to contribute articles, events or anything that relates to kids in Lawrence. I encourage you to leave your comments directly on this site, when you do please tell us a little about you or your business, you may even include your logo.

Hi Mireille,
My name is Lisa Parr and I am facilitating a gardening group for the GaDuGi Safe Center here in Lawrence, KS. The gardening group, Girls Garden, is for Girls and Women from the ages of 5 and up. The group is held at the United Way Building on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm. I was wondering if you could post this event on your website to help inform girls, mothers, grandmothers, etc. about this event?
Thank you,
Lisa Parr
