Adopted Children and Their Parents Honored
We all know that the day for love is celebrated on February 14th. This year the State of Kansas will take this opportunity to honor and celebrate the love given to adopted children. Adopted children and their parents are invited to attend the celebration, hosted by Senator Sam Brownback at Washburn University.
This event is also provided for prospective adoptive families, several area adoption agencies and adoption advocacy organizations will be there to answer questions and assist families with information and resources. Constituent caseworkers will also be on hand to help answer questions about how Senator Brownback’s office can be of assistance to you in your adoption efforts.
The event will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Washburn University in room Washburn B, 1st Floor Washburn Memorial Union. Washburn University is located at 1700 SW College Ave in Topeka.
