A few days ago I posted about teaching children how to save money. And tonight I feel vindicated for that post, as on the national news they were telling us that school should be teaching children about money.
With the economy being what it is, we all think about what will happen, and we worry about our kids. We know we will make it, some of us may not have been too affected by the crisis our country if feeling. But will our children be okay? Isn’t this what each parent want to know? We want to give a better world to our children and today many of us are wondering whether we will or not.
The newscast was saying that only 3 states in the nation offer money matters as a curriculum course in high school (Missouri was one but Kansas was not.) That is a very scary thought. To think that so many kids will get out of high school and not know how to balance a check book, is nothing to laugh about.
So for people who missed it I am encouraging you to visit or revisit that post as it offers a very nice book to help you teach money matters to children of any age. The book also offers help in showing children and teenagers how they can earn money.
